Our Founders

The four founders made NPX a reality in May 2018 by bringing innovation in the nuclear industry to the forefront. Their mission was to make nuclear more sustainable, competitive, and a leader in energy technologies.

BHARATH NANGIA

Bharath has over 10 years of experience in the nuclear industry, with leadership experience at Bruce Power & OPG sites in the areas of Nuclear Refurbishment, Environmental Qualification, Engineering Change Control, Execution of EPC projects, Outages, and Project Management. He has proven experience with leading large organizations to successfully deliver major projects.

STEVE FERNANDES

Steve has +9 years experience in leading & supporting engineering, construction, & commissioning projects on major refurbishment campaigns such as the Bruce A Restart Project & Darlington Refurbishment Project & supported various projects focusing on mechanical & pressure boundary modifications supporting the Darlington Refurbishment’s critical path.

MARGARET MCBEATH

Margaret has 12+ years of experience in Human Resources and has led innovative and impactful HR programs and initiatives focused on talent development, training, DE&I, organizational development, and employee health and well-being. In 2021 Margaret was awarded HR Leader of the Year at the Canadian HR Awards.

GREGG STEWART

Gregg had over 20 years experience in leadership, engineering, research, & project delivery. He was a subject matter expert in materials & the aging & degradation of metallic systems, structures & components. He led design engineering & on-site operations where he was responsible for executing design engineering, field engineering, safety, operations & refurbishment initiatives.

Somayaji is an experienced Product Leader with over 7 years of experience in Reliability & Design Engineering, Commercial Operations, Business Intelligence & Product Management. He currently leads the Product Organization with over 35 product managers, designers, & developers. His team focuses on developing innovative software solutions to modernize processes and enable data-driven insights for our clients.

Nigel began his career in the nuclear industry in 2017, focusing primarily on process optimization through application development and data analytics in many facets of nuclear power generation operations. Currently leading the Rapid App Development team, he is focused on providing innovative solutions through digital tools.

Kevin is a seasoned software developer bringing almost a decade of software development experience. With experience in agriculture, finance, retail, automotive, health, and real estate, he's led end-to-end development web application across diverse sectors at leading consulting firms and startups. Tam has 25 years of experience in the nuclear industry, with leadership experience at OPG and Design service providers for Environmental Qualification, Engineering Change Control, Quality Management, Innovation, Execution of EPC projects, Project Management, Mentoring programs, & Equity, Diversity, & Inclusion initiatives.

Peter has over 8 years of experience in the nuclear industry, focused on business intelligence & analytics in the areas of Engineering, Project Controls, Supply Chain, Maintenance, & Work Management. He also has experience working with various tools & their databases such as P6, Ecosys, ARM, Passport, Tempus, TIMS, Maximo, RIS, & Content Server.

Lu is a high-energy, optimistic, and results-focused valve expert with 15 years’ experience in the nuclear industry. Lu is currently a Project Portfolio Manager at NPX on the OPG Projects team with a rigorous passion to bring project plans to realization.

Renee is currently supporting our MCR Unit 4 Cost and Schedule Reduction Program. Beginning her career in 2008, she has a strong project controls background including Cost, Schedule, Reporting, Outage Support, and Risk Management experience, and has a passion for providing mentorship to her team.

Kshitij has worked in the nuclear industry for over 6 years with varied experience leading multi-disciplinary design & field engineering projects. In his current role, Kshitij is leading the Digital Transformation at Bruce Power as part of the Engineering Innovation Program to simplify, automate & augment processes and programs currently in place.

DUNNI JIMOH

Dunni began her career in the Nuclear Industry in 2021 as a Project Engineer. Before transitioning to Nuclear, she gained valuable experience as a Process Engineer in the Oil & Gas and Water & Wastewater industries. Currently, Dunni is dedicated to enhancing operational efficiency at Bruce Power by deploying advanced BIM tools and integrating it with existing systems.

Alec has over 5 years experience in the nuclear industry working in Engineering Project Management.

Alec is currently overseeing the Digital Transformation team with a focus on solving challenges in the nuclear industry using digital tools.

Tope’s career in the nuclear industry began in 2017. She has worked in the nuclear, manufacturing, & construction industries in project controls & project management. As a Certified Scrum Master, she also loves working on Agile projects. Presently, Tope is working on BIM projects at NPX, overseeing the integration of existing BP systems into a single environment.

Erica is an accomplished Chemical Engineer (P.Eng) with a specialization in Process Controls. She holds expertise in working with multidisciplinary teams, assessment & monitoring of processes, & process improvement strategies.

Chris has been working with Bruce Power in a project management and project engineering capacity since his first student position in 2018. He currently oversees the Engineering Programs portfolio at NPX, driving increased quality and efficiency of Engineering deliverables through process, governance, and digital tools.

NAVEEN JOSHY

Naveen is the lead for our internal X-Program department & works primarily with the Design Engineering team & the Engineering Programs team in building engineering solutions that lead to reduced complexity, increased safety, & productivity. He also manages STIG (our Boston Dynamics SPOT robot) and 3D printing projects within NPX.

AKIN AKINBOBOLA

Akin, a seasoned nuclear professional, contributed to projects like Bruce Power's Major Component Replacement & ongoing Nuclear New Build. He has a master’s in mechanical engineering, specializing in thermal & fluids systems. As a certified PMP & licensed engineer in BC & California, Akin's education & experience uniquely position him to contribute significantly to nuclear project success.

GORD FOUNTAIN

Gord is a leader in the nuclear industry with roles including Manager, Plant Design at Pickering, and VP of Projects. His expertise spans design engineering, configuration management, planning, technical support, and shift operation. Currently, he supports NPX’s MCR and Engineering projects and assists SaskPower in developing managed systems, contributing to NPX’s Quality Assurance program.
